About

It’s a blog. That’s about all I promise.

I’ve been working on the interwebs for a while now. I’ve produced a bunch of sites for a bunch of brands, people, businesses, whathave you. I love technology for the creativity it enables, and I love what the internet is and can foster on both practical and conceptual levels. On the other hand I am not a code monkey, and quite honestly down-right learning impaired when it comes to hardware. However, I do know what it takes to DO a job, and how long it should take to do it - if you know, or care about, what you’re doing. That’s what makes me a “digital producer” by trade.

My interest and knowledge of the internet was arrived at in a rather round-about fashion, and I think that story is going to be one of my first legitimate blog posts, so I’ll save it for that rather than droll on about it here. However, the cliff notes version of that story go a little bit like this: undergrad at liberal arts school, deterred by family members from going to art school because “It’s not a legitimate college degree,”  who double majored in studio art and philosophy under the auspices that philosophy is a good starter degree for a career in Law.  Immediately after graduation I moved to NYC. Through a serendipitous blend of both fortunate and unfortunate events, 8 years and 8 jobs later arrived right here - wildly in love with technology, cultural anthropology, interactive design, mass collaboration and Human Computer Interaction; working for a company I believe may change the world - or at least part of it - for the good.

I also like some really weird internet memes so this whole endeavor will hopefully shape up with a dash of lolcats, FTW’s and online video,  in order to avoid being just another dreadfully boring blog. Wish me luck.
